Hello!  My name is Rachel and I am very excited to finally have a blog!  I am 24-years-old and originally from Michigan, but have lived in Kansas City most of my life.  Being a full-time student studying Music Education, I lead a very busy life but make time for the good stuff!  Having recently become interested in cooking and baking, I decided it was time to share what I enjoy with the rest of you!  Now, I do not think I can really categorize my eating habits and lifestyle, but I try to be healthy and take any tips and advice.  I do eat meat, but am willing to try many vegan or vegetarian foods (which I sometimes prefer!).  I also try to work out on a regular basis because I really enjoy it, and have put together a little yoga group for fun.  With only a couple of years left, I hope to use my degree to teach elementary music.  I love children and would love to share my gift of music with them.  I am a singer, so taking care of my voice goes hand-in-hand with what I put into my body.  You will find that I love beer and wine, but I try to limit myself, especially during the school year, because alcohol of any sorts is not good for my vocal chords.  I am President of the ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) chapter at my school this year, so I am very excited to share with you my experiences with that!  I start my observation in the classrooms this year as well, so between classes, observing, running an organization, and cooking and baking, I hope you enjoy what you read!
